God Hates Labels questions the words we use to define ourselves and one another.

Simple directions such as Left, Right, Top and Bottom quickly become symbols of identity, belief and belonging. What first appears straightforward gradually unfolds into something far more ambiguous.

Soft layers of colour dissolve into one another while sharply defined words remain fixed, creating a visual dialogue between certainty and uncertainty. The closer we look, the less absolute those definitions become.

Rather than taking a political position, the series reflects on our instinct to simplify what is rarely simple. It asks how easily language shapes perception and how often labels prevent us from seeing the complexity that exists beneath them.
